At our site in Bergkirchen near Munich, we develop and manufacture components, modules and devices for the generation, transport and measurement of light. Our technical sales department guarantees competent advice and support for our customers. The warehouse at our location is responsible for shipping all Thorlabs products within Europe. We are looking for someone immediately Academic Sales Engineer, Physicist (m/w/d) Ihre Aufgaben Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Identify new markets and customers as well as new projects at existing customers Conduct both technical and administrative discussions with customers Manage sales related contracts and tenders and coordinate them with contract administrators Define strategies for territory and specific market growth together with the Academic Sales Manager Visit Key Customers frequently and attend tradeshows regularly Participate in developing ideas and technical concepts for exhibiting Thorlabs products on tradeshows Ihr Profil Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in Physics or other Photonics related discipline. Hands-on experiences with designing and setting up optical experiments Willingsness for traveling up to 30% in Europe Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong data analysis and reporting skills; must be comfortable with presenting concepts to a large audience These are considered as plus points: Strong academic background with multidisciplinary experiences.
